AMEN NATIONAL CONFERENCE
Over 15 missionaries from various fields in Nigeria gathered together for about one week at the Mission headquarters in GANA Ropp, Barkin Ladi, to discuss the progress of the work so far and how to make much more impact.
The year had previously been declared for us as a year of new things so strategies for expansion into new areas as well as for fundraising were also discussed. It was a glorious time of fellowship and brainstorming.
In the course of the meeting, we received the good news of the safe delivery and arrival of a baby girl into the family of one of our missionary. All glory to God!
It was also a time of handing over leadership at the national level. Sis. Beauty U. M, the Nigeria National Director’s tenure had come to a successful end, and Bro. Yakubu M, former field leader of Bassa field was elected as her successor. Sis. Beauty was released into her new office as Deputy International Director, Research and Resource (DID, R&R), and will be leaving the mission HQ to set up office in Abuja.
The meeting ended on Friday with the Agape Missions monthly prayer and fasting program, Restoration. The focus this month was on casting the vision of the Mission so everyone will be carried along. Time was given for various fields and departments to share a little about their work and to be prayed for. Generally, it was a refreshing time in God’s presence.

INTERNATIONAL PRAYER CAMP
The year 2022 ended with the Agape Missions annual program, Prayer Camp. The theme for the year was “Things Happening Soon”. It featured teachings from various seasoned servants of God, drawing the attention of all to the fact that we are in the last days and therefore ought to be prepared for the Lord’s coming, which may happen at any moment.
It was also a time of intense personal prayers, prayers for the Church, in Nigeria and the world at large, prayers for the forthcoming elections in Nigeria. There were sessions for small group Bible study as well.
One of the highlights of the program is usually the graduation ceremony for students of Agape School of Missions (ASOM). This year, we successfully graduated 6 students, with 2 signing up to work with the mission as missionaries, while 1 joined as an employed staff. We give God the glory!
Another time participants always look forward to is Thanksgiving. This is because each tribe present is usually given time to praise God in their own way after which we all come together to raise a praise, a replica of our singing and dancing before the throne on that day when every tribe, tongue, language and people will be represented in heaven! (Rev. 7:9-10). It’s always a beautiful and colorful ceremony!
