Bokkos, Mangu, Kwatas! These beleaguered towns and their adjoining villages, being ravaged by Fulani Militia men, are our neighbors in Gana-Ropp which houses the Agape Missions Base. We have a High school – Messiah College, a Primary School – Kauna Kiddies, Kauna Children’s Home, School of Missions and several staff members. Our base is very large. The Kauna Home houses about 70 orphans, some as young as 6 years old. The Kauna Kiddies has about 285 children. So we cannot run away, but we can pray so we are praying. Please pray with us. Orphans and widows are being produced every week across the Middle Belt States of Nigeria. Presently we spend so much money on paying security men. The Defence Headquarters also gave us 4 soldiers permanently.
Up to 40 participants are expected to report in Gana-Ropp in June, July and August for different kinds of Advanced Missions Training. These are attempts to pass on the baton. Such training cannot be done online. Some are coming from as far as the South and even from Benin Republic. They will spend a lot on transportation. We therefore cannot charge for feeding, tuition and accommodation. We need some 8.5 million Naira to run these programs.
We are encouraged by the progress in the area of evangelism and conversions on our mission fields both in Nigeria and Benin Republic. Idol worshippers are bowing to the King of kings. Discipleship is going on. Even hundreds of women especially widowed ones as a result of insurgency are being discipled in small groups in several villages across three different States. It is indeed a season of harvest by the grace of God. Please pray for the many full time staff of our women ministry, Bege4Gobe, and our many other foot soldiers. About 1,200 women are being expected for the annual 5 day Widows Conference. That means a lot of money to feed them and to buy foodstuffs for them to take away. The budget is twenty-four million Naira (₦ 24 million).
Work is going well on our Farm at Bako Village of the FCT.. Cassava is being harvested and processed and sold. Thousands of heaps are being planted already. Rice, Beans, Veggies, Pawpaw are other products coming from the farm. After raising the block work for two flats for staff on the farm, we ran short of funds. Our plan was to build four flats this year. Please pray along with us.
God has been good. We value your partnership over the years. May the Lord bless you and multiply your resources to His glory. Maranatha!
