RED FLAG!
RED FLAG!
Good day, servant of the Most High God. Please lend me your ears.
It was very, very frightening! My body was stiff and my spirit troubled, as he spoke. It wasn’t just the content of his speech but this is an elderly brother I hold in much respect. His ministerial credentials are impeccable. Now spending his ageing years abroad, he came into the country briefly. As he shared what God told him about Nigeria as far back as 2014, my mind was working on a way out of the impending program for me and my immediate family. To heighten my fears, most of the things he shared had come to pass. In my presence, he called the wife who was in their foreign home base, asked her to remind him of that early morning prophecy which God gave him in 2014 and she wrote down.
May, the month of blood in Nigeria. He told me of the mindless massacre in Abuja, the disturbance all over the country, the killings in the middle belt, the far north, the Eastern states, the wanting destruction in the West. Indeed all over, it was a river of blood. Even Christians took guns to the church. It was very bad with corpses all over.
I woke up this morning and it dropped into my heart that WE CAN STOP IT. And we shall. How many hundreds have been slaughtered in the past many years! How many have been sacrificed in ritual forests! How many homes have been razed by fires of rage! Hasn’t the land been soaked enough by our blood! Doesn’t the Bible say that whatever we bind on earth us bound in heaven! And that God answers the prayers of His people. He told us: call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you. This is our day of trouble. Our women have come to birth and there is no strength to push.
I’m calling on you my brother, my sister to take this up and raise a red flag against the minions of Hell and agents of destruction. Let us tell them it is enough. No more. Herod took James and killed him. Then he took Peter, but then the church said no. And it was no. God had to dispatch an angel from the Throne room to intervene.
In our homes, in our churches, in our offices, during our personal quiet times, let us change the colour of the month of May from red, made red by the blood of the people. Let us with one voice raise a cry and confidently declare; NO MORE BLOODDSHED. Let us hold the fort,
Your brother,
Uncle Bayo Famonure
