KAUNA HOME
“KAUNA (Love) HOME” was established for internally displaced children. The Mission, with the help of kind-hearted individuals and groups, takes care of these children during the academic term and at holidays, those who have parent(s) or relative(s) go home to stay with them; those who have no one or nowhere to go stay behind in the home.
Being a house parent means you have to be both father and mother to these children. As a house parent, you must be kind, extremely patient and easy to approach so that the children feel safe and at home. I have seen these children grow and improve physically, psychologically, academically and even morally than when they first came. Indeed it is a privilege to be part of those touching and changing their lives”. Joel Allanana, Boys’ House Parent, KH.
